Backyard Creatures

Last night we hosted the Mays crew for dinner. We enjoyed delicious food, played with bunnies, savored Nana's trifle and took rides aboard the Flegal redneck express.

It's been a long time since we have seen cousin Joey.  And while he's only a year ahead of Forrest in age, he played most with Lottie.

The bunnies were all spoken for so Henry found himself a chicken.
Hi Forrest!
Better late than never, the kids participated in an Easter Egg hunt.
Cousin Callie did a great job hiding all of the eggs.
Forrest did most of his egg hunting after everyone was done with the official hunt. Those tiny, yet determined, hands found their way into each and every bag that was left within his reach. He'd help himself to everything and anything he could. Eliza, knowing from experience, hung her Easter basket up on a tree branch.
This is my cute Dad.
Today is his birthday!
I love him so very much. I admire his intelligence, his spirituality,
his humor and his ability to make people feel great about themselves.
Happy birthday Dad.
Love Ali and her awkward hands.

We are looking forward to the continuation of warm weather
and the evenings that will be spent outside together.

Peace out!
